தத்தித் தத்தி நடக்கத் துவங்கிய தன் மகள்
தடுமாறியப் போது ஓடிச் சென்று அணைத்தான் அவன்
ஏனோ அவன் மனம் பதறியது ......
புன்சிரிப்புடன் அவனை பார்த்தால் அவன் மனைவி.
ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தையும் அழகாய் உச்சரித்தப்போது
பெருமிதம் பொங்க மகளை உச்சி முகர்ந்தான்.
வளர்ந்து குமரியாய் அழகாய் நின்றப்போது
பெருமிதத்துடன் அவளைப் பார்த்தான்
படித்துப் பட்டம் பெற்று பதவியில் அமர்ந்தப் போது
கர்வத்துடன் உலகைப் பார்த்தான்
அவள் கண்களில் சிறு தூசி விழ
அவள் கண்கள் கலங்கியப் போது
உலகையே சபித்தான் ........
அவனை இவ்வாறு காணும்போது
புன்னகை ஒன்றையே தாங்கி நின்றால் மனைவி..
கண்ணின் இமையாய் இருந்த மகளை
நிறைவாய் திருமணம் செய்து அனுப்பியப் போது
அவன் கண்கள் மிகவும் கலங்கியது
அவள் கணவன் அவளைக் கூட்டிச் செல்லும் போது
திரும்பிய தன் ஆசை மகளின் கண்ணீர் கண்டு
அவன் மனம் உடைந்தது
ஆதரவாய் அவன் தோளை அணைத்த
கலங்கிய கண்களுடன் அதே புன்சிரிப்புடன்
நிற்கும் மனைவியை பார்த்தான்
சிரிப்பின் பொருளும் புரிந்தது
அவள் தந்தையும் வலியும் கூட...இன்று
