Manam andrum indrum

Timenever paused or stopped years ago,

when everything was fast .....

And it was just a wink of an eye

that sent a year away.

Now I stare at the clock

it refuses to move

what else to do,whats there to wait

I just stand like the dining table

having nothing to do but
waiting for someone to entertain

The ring of the phone

brings me back to earth,

oh!!!! my dear child calling

telling me her problems

just as she did as a kid

and my words make her relaxed

which brings smile to my face

then comes the door bell

my tired loving husband

talks about his office

I hear him out...

making me more important

( not a dining table ofcourse)

moms and wives are never unemployed :)

THEY ARE PROMOTED BUT NEVER RETIRE.

SIGNATURE

When I see the hot burning sun

with its beautiful golden rays around,

When I watch the cool smiling moon

in the dark and silent night,

When I watch the trees

racing above to touch the azure sky,

When I see buds and flowers

And the bees buzzing around,

When I see the birds building nests

and hear their beautiful tunes

When I hear the noisy waves

and the silent serene hill side,

When I see the rain fall

and the early morning dew drops,

When I sight the rainbow

bridging earth and heaven

and the indescribable joy

it fills me with.....

The dark clouds with a silver lining,

the beauty that cannot be expressed,

Whenever I see a baby’s smile

And a new mothers pride

I always see You.....

Your signature my Lord!!!!!

A small wish to you My Lord!!!

Lucky am I to be born to thee

the lovely smile,the comforting look

the beautiful face that can

challenge the moon...

Never have I seen you frown

neither have I seen you rude

whenever I slipped ,

you were there to hold me

whenever I wept

you were there to console me.

Secure I was in your hold

when a mother myself

you held me with pride

whenever in distress

it was your voice that led me

now my dear ma..............

I miss you so much.

My happiness, my progress

I am unable to share

it makes my heart heavy

just a moment .........my God!

wont you send her back to us

to see us all jubilant

to see that the path she

wove for us

hasn't gone in vain....

I am waiting for the new year to dawn

just believing she will be back

just as she left us.......

My mother My sweet mother.

Life is like that!

There I stood a barren land,
with not even a weed to count
I wondered what my value was
nothing that I could say.
There came the rain,
then the golden shine,
birds came down with seeds
and slowly I saw the sap
showing her tiny cute heads
and when I looked up
sun was smiling with a wink
Life is but a state of mind
you dream,you strive,you sweat
and there you are with
Fruits large and sweet
no longer a barren land.

Watch what you do,a generation is following you

I am very surprised to hear these two phrases in my daily life.....”I am bored and I am down”.Even a five year old says he or she is bored. That is really funny. How can someone be bored? I met a student of 11 Th standard and asked her how her new school was and the reply was..Oh its boring got to study study and study. Now what does that mean? If you are bored to study then what else will you do is the next probable question or when will you study? The obvious answer is watch television; go shopping with friends or watch movie. But how long is this possible and does it mean you just want to spend life aimless. I would blame the parents for this, they haven’t taught them that life needs goals and to enjoy whatever they are doing. It’s not to just laze and dance around but to achieve and to aim forward. You can’t see any progress if you don’t set goals for yourself. I don’t mean that one should be good in studies only. He or she can opt for fine arts if that’s what they love and do their best in it. This is true for a housewife too. I have heard many say, you can just enjoy and sleep and laze around. You have all the time in the world. That's what I exactly mean, you do these things only, teaching your kids the same things (as they mimic their mom mostly) paving way for a lazy goalless generation.. When the mom and dad do things on time and insist on it, the kids learn to do it. Or else they think nothing wrong in getting 5 Min's late or postponing a job. When a school gives a work to do, the parents instead of cursing the teachers, should teach them to perform the assigned job in the time limit given. That is how kids learn to finish a job. When this discipline is not taught, he keeps doing things the way he wants, not on time and inherits it to the next generation. The parents got to show the kid that by going late he is making the other person wait and it merely shows that he does not respect the other persons time. Just because we do not frame any goal and do not stick to a disciplined life we are bored. That’s my view. The other thing is, we are not ready to slog, we want all enjoyments and comforts, but when it comes to results we want the best. How is that possible? We can reap only what we sow.The usual remark is, I ain't that lucky. When one is not ready to accept his fault he got to blame lady luck .When we have a goal set and try to strive towards it I think this boredom and depression can be deleted from the lives of young. For this the parents should set a role model by doing what they preach. I personally feel that by doing these small things and being responsible we can see a very responsible generation ahead and a beautiful India.

ON BINDING AND BONDING :)

No time for covering books? No problem!

With the schools set to reopen, the hands are full for the staff of shops engaged in binding and covering books.
CHENNAI: R. Niveditha got her new textbooks and notebooks some days ago. They need to be covered with brown sheets before her school reopens on Wednesday. Her grandfather is out of town and her parents, working couples, are busy, but she is not unduly worried.
“By Wednesday evening, I need the books. My school reopens on June 2 but it's fine, I don't need to take them on the first day,” the Class VIII student of St. Michael's Matriculation Higher Secondary School explains to the staff of a shop engaged in binding and covering the books.“I generally take help from my grandfather, or if it's just one or two books to be covered in the middle of the year, my parents do,” says Niveditha. With schools set to reopen in the coming weeks, people who help cover books are sought after by many working parents. Quite a number of book-binding shops gear up for more business this time of the year.A majority of these shops charge between Rs.5 and Rs.8 for brown paper covering and between Rs.12 and Rs.30 for binding and providing a plastic sheet cover.

After reading this article in THE HINDU,I was really shocked and surprised.Do we mean to say that we are so busy, we are unable to spend an hour doing works for our kids.Dont we go for shopping, dont we chat, dont we gossip. It is not just covering the notebooks and text books with brown paper, there is a lot of bonding in this binding.Even now I remember the days my dad did this job for us.He was a very busy man but he always had time when it was for his kids.We sat with him watching him cover the books with brown paper. We were always eager to hand him book after book and after that was done the label part.We used to select the picture and hand it over to him to be stuck in the books. The way he wrote our name and subject was so cute, that the very thought of it can bring the scene before me even now.It was not mere brown paper..it was love that flowed between us,the time he spent with us,the small sweet talks we had during this job, that still keeps these memories fresh in my mind. And it was a ritual after all the books were covered ,he used to hand it out with lot of grace and wishes. He taught us how and when we grew up we also started doing this job along with him.Even with my daughter,we used to sit and talk about each and every subject. The only change was we had flowers and god and goddess pictures in the labels but now its cartoons.Only when you experience it ,you will understand what beautiful bondage it is.I dont agree about the lack of time,we need to give these small joys and memories to our kids.I personally feel the people who are outsorcing this to shops are missing on this beautiful experience and the magic of love.
